stainless steel
Cast stainless steel refers to the casting steel grade that can resist corrosion in environment. Cast stainless steel can generally be divided into three categories, namely medium and high strength martensitic stainless steel for engineering structures, corrosion-resistant stainless steel and heat-resistant stainless steel.
410 Stainless Steel – martensitic steel, magnetic, tough, heat treatable
420 Stainless Steel – mild corrosion resistance, high heat resistance and increased strength
430 Stainless Steel –
17-4 Stainless Steel – Good corrosion resistance, hardenable to 44 HRC
303 Stainless Steel – Excellent toughness and machinability, with lower corrosion resistance than 304
440C Stainless Steel – Oil quenched for maximum hardness and heat treated to 58-60 HRC
304 Stainless Steel –
316 Stainless Steel – Similar properties to 304 with improved corrosion and chemical resistance
316L Stainless Steel
